Friday 6 August, 12.30pm – 1.15pm

To celebrate the publication of Future Arts Centres’ first book, Tactics for the Tightrope: Creative Resilience for Creative Communitiesits author Mark Robinson will be in discussion with Alison Clark, Head of Culture, Tourism and Sport at Durham County Council. Alison was formerly Director of Combined Arts and the North West for Arts Council England, and a big supporter of Future Arts Centres and of arts centres generally. Through discussion, they will explore some of the main arguments in Mark’s book, which is part manifesto, part toolkit for creative resilience as resistance to inequality, hierarchy and irrelevance. There will be chance for questions from the audience too.
