National Members’ Meetings

People sat around a round table, talking

National Members’ Meetings take place three times a year and are an informal, discursive opportunity for leaders of arts centres to share best practice, provide peer support and shape the national advocacy of the network.

Meetings are regularly attended by 40-50 CEOs from across the UK. Meetings are always hosted in an arts centre and recent meetings have taken place at Trinity Arts (Bristol), Rich Mix (Shoreditch), Cast (Doncaster), Bernie Grant Arts Centre (Tottenham) and HOME (Manchester).

Members’ meetings usually include updates about Future Arts Centres’ activities and opportunities, insights from other leaders or external speakers, and plenty of opportunity to connect with other arts centre leaders. Recent presentations and roundtable discussion topics have included:

  • Communicating the complexities and value of arts centres
  • Creative tax reliefs
  • Governance and engaging with Boards
  • Inclusive recruitment
  • Managing crisis communications
  • Relationship between CEOs and Chairs
  • Shared procurement and shared services
  • Succession planning

Upcoming Members’ Meetings include:

  • Wednesday, 25 June 2025 at HOME, Manchester,
  • Thursday 16 October 2025 at The Albany, London

Meetings are for the CEO (or equivalent) for Future Arts Centre members. To find out more about becoming a member of FAC, visit Our Members.
